Playing with GarageBand again. Starting off a little doomy, and segueing into spacey electronica. No idea what to call this one, but I like how it turned out.

Desperado (7:05)
Last night I set out to make a cyberpunk mix, and ended up on a strange and chaotic path. Here’s the result. I have no idea how to define it; I’m happy with this.
Mashed together with snippets from the following songs:
New free single released. Lacus III is an 11-minute companion to Reefersleep. This more austere piece was the starting point for what later became Lacus I & II.
Download it for free from Bandcamp.
Thanks to everyone who listened to and spread the word about Reefersleep!
A short music video for Geodesic. My first experiment with Processing!
Another GarageBand doodle.
Released my first album! It’s called Reefersleep and it looks something like this:

Dark ambient music inspired by space, both real and sci-fi. You can download it for €5 (approx. $6.30).
Just for this week, Tumblr followers can get 15% off with the promo code “reblogged” (subtle)!
My ambient album’s almost ready for a release. I’ve named it and everything! For the purpose of making space music, I am operating under the name Nova Solus.
Here’s the shortest track from the album, called Lacus I. Headphones recommended. You can download this – and an excerpt from another, much longer track – from the site or from Last.fm.
Short GarageBand doodle, reusing the synth instrument from Lunar Spree.
Visual preview of my ambient album in progress. The structure is pretty much complete. I’m mostly adding layers of texture and fine-tuning the sound now.
I’m slightly worried about the variation in track lengths – shortest is 3:35 (track 3), longest is 17:20 (track 1). It works for me, but I can’t judge it with a fresh perspective. Does it really matter, or am I just paranoid? (Incidentally, I’m most satisfied with the first track.)
New song: Lunar Spree.
Taking a break from the atonal, ambient/drone stuff. This one’s more upbeat, and with actual notes.
I’ve been working on an album intermittently over the last six months. Ambient music inspired by space, both real and fictional.
I’m not used to this, as my usual procedure is to make something short and simple, share it with the internets, and move onto something new. It’s starting to come together though. Here’s a taster.
On the internet, nobody knows you’re not a pianist. Here’s a two-minute GarageBand piano sequence.
An ambient track I posted to Tumblr last year. Made a video for it using clips from DOA, a film noir classic from 1950. (The film is now in the public domain, and free to download from archive.org. I’d recommend it.)

Second track of the week: an attempt at psytrance. Hopefully I didn’t subconsciously rip off Astral Projection.
I’m also uploading to Last.fm again. Both of the tracks I made this week are free to download.
